    Poland

    The emerging Polish director who drew attention with his brilliant short films, distinguished by their rough style and radicalism. After a successful full-length debut at the Venice Film Festival, he showed another short at Cannes (made in collaboration with the Ukrainian director Anastasia Solonevych) and is already working on his second feature film.

  • Anastasia Babenko

    Ukraine

    The Ukrainian director and a graduate of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Сame into cinematography after working in TV news. Her debut film The Diaper Cake won the Grand Prix of the KISFF 2022 national competition and was screened at international short film festivals in Clermont-Ferrand, Palm Springs, Tokyo, etc.

  • Yuriy Samusenko

    Ukraine

    The member of the Union of the Ukrainian Film Critics, used to write for LB.UA, Suspilne Kultura, DTF Magazine, Moviegram, author and host of the Phenomena of Ukrainian Culture and Balance of White podcasts. Work as an author and editor at Skvot Mag. In 2022, he joined the ranks of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine as a lieutenant and unit commander and is a combatant, currently in reserve.

  • Ewa Smyk

    UK

    The animation director based in the UK. Her debut, short animated documentary The Deal (2015) screened at numerous international film festivals, including DOK Leipzig, Mar del Plata, and Curta Cinema. Her latest animated film, Homebird (2021), was shown at over 80 film festivals and won over 20 awards. It was included in BAFTA and Oscar long lists and received the Young Director Award. Ewa is currently developing her short film slate and working commercially as a director and visual artist in music videos and documentaries.

  • Alberto Gonzalez Morales

    Switzerland

    The Swiss film director and sound engineer. Currently studying at HEAD – Genève (Geneva University of Art & Design) he will be graduating in 2024 with a Bachelor's degree in Cinema, with a Major in Sound. His Bachelor thesis deals with representations of masculinities in film, a theme he wants to explore in his future work. His short film "Les Dieux du supermarché (Gods of the Supermarket)" (2022), made during a first-year workshop in his Bachelor's degree, has been selected in numerous festivals around the world. Premiering at the 75th Locarno Film Festival, it was awarded a Special Mention by the Junior Jury of the Locarno Film Festival. It also won the KISFF 2022 Grand Prix of the International Competition and the BIEFF 2023 Award for Best International Short Film.

  • Veronika Jakab

    Hungary

    the Head of Industry at Friss Hús Budapest International Short Film Festival. After graduating from Eötvös Loránd University (Film Studies), she worked as a translator/dramaturg at the Hungarian dubbing studio MAFILM, then joined a production company where she worked as a unit manager and later on junior producer. For the last eight years, she has been responsible for the industry programs and managing the organizational team of Friss Hús Budapest ISFF, Hungary’s nr. 1 short film festival.
